Overview

The Mental Health Consultation Liaison Clinician will provide clinical, educational and professional Mental Health services within the Integrated Mental Health Service (IMHS). The Mental Health Consultation Liaison Clinician works in partnership with a range of stakeholders from regional SA and Rural and Remote Mental Health Service (RRMHS) and supports the development of Mental Health (MH) clinicians in the Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN) to provide an integrated Mental Health response. The Mental Health Consultation Liaison Clinician will be responsible for providing education and mentoring to Limestone Coast LHN staff to improve skills in managing Mental Health consumers.

Eligibility

Please note this position is multi-classed as AHP3 or RN/RM3 and classification will be determined by qualifications held

  • Must hold a recognised qualification within the recognised Allied Health Profession of Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology, and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association; or
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and hold a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
