Summary:
The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with various Mental Health conditions. They will work alongside other healthcare professionals to provide individual and group counseling sessions, crisis intervention services, and education to patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients with Mental Health concerns and develop individualized treatment plans
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to help patients address various Mental Health issues
- Provide crisis intervention services to patients in crisis situations
- Maintain accurate records of patient care, including progress notes, assessments, and treatment plans
- Educate patients and families about Mental Health conditions and recommend appropriate community resources
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and to develop treatment plans
- Attend clinical supervision meetings and continued education workshops to ensure professional development.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field
- State licensure as a Mental Health Counselor
- Skilled in individual and group counseling techniques
- Knowledge of various Mental Health conditions and treatment methods
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in a healthcare or Mental Health setting is preferred
