About the role
The Social Worker as part of a multidisciplinary Mental Health Team is accountable for the provision of discipline specific services including assessments, care planning, treatments, interventions and programs to enhance recovery orientated outcomes for consumers, their families and carers. These lead to improved clinical outcomes for the consumers of the Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit of the Mental Health Clinical Program (MHCP) in Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Clinical services are provided in a timely fashion to facilitate timely discharge at an optimal level. The Social Worker demonstrates a proficient level of Mental Health professional knowledge and skills and participates in educational, quality improvement and planning activities.
Qualifications
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
