Essential job duties and responsibilities

You shall be responsible for providing mental health support services to our clients in an immigration detention clinic. Key responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based mental health services
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Identify, assess and follow up persons at risk
• Contribute to the effective multidisciplinary health management
• Ensure that documentation is accurate, precise and concise

Qualification

To be considered you must have the following:

• Minimum 3 years proven experience in Mental Health nursing
• Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in a corrections, detention or remote nursing setting would be desirable
• Current ALS/BLS, Working with Children Certificate and Police Check (or willing to obtain)
• Live in Australia or New Zealand and have work rights

We are a worksite where it is mandatory to have up-to-date vaccinations; and wear an approved face mask (e.g. N95).
