Where you'll be working
Macquarie Hospital is a 195 bed inpatient mental health facility in North Ryde, Sydney. We cater to a range of consumers with complex mental health challenges across a variety of mental health clinical streams including older persons, dual diagnosis and adults.

MHDA Statement of Intention
The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration.
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment, and occupational therapy intervention for consumers within the inpatient adult mental health services and rehabilitation program areas based at Macquarie Hospital.

- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and full registration with AHPRA.
- Experience in mental health assessment, care coordination and treatment/interventions, including group work.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of principles of bio-psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Occupational Therapy models of practice for mental health interventions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, including clinical documentation and computer literacy.
- Current NSW Class C drivers licence.
