The Opportunity
Amplar Health is proud to be one of Australia's largest providers of telephone and web-based health support services. Our Mental Health Professionals deliver publicly and privately funded Mental Health services, from counselling to crisis support and connect consumers to the care they need at the time that they need it. Our Mental Health nurses, counsellors, social workers and psychologists utilise a range of modalities that include telephone, video, SMS, email, web chat as well as a smartphone app.
We're thrilled to share that our Amplar Health Mental Health team will be delivering the Head to Health intake line for the NSW community.
As a Mental Health Clinician in our Head to Health team, we look to you to safely and efficiently manage calls and webchats that involve Mental Health triage, risk assessment and Mental Health education, assessment referral to local Mental Health providers and high-quality crisis intervention for people experiencing emotional distress, general depression and anxiety issues.
About You
We are looking for mix of full-time and part-time (0.6 FTE minimum) AHPRA registered Mental Health nurses/psychologists and AASW accredited social workers who share our vision to shift the way healthcare is provided in Australia.
As an experienced clinician, you love to make a difference in the lives of Australians by providing high-level psychological support, Mental Health education; and appropriate psychological interventions.
Ideally you will have a minimum 3 years Mental Health experience in relevant clinical settings, ensuring that you will have proficient knowledge of common private and public referral and treatment pathways within a stepped model of care provision. Any exposure to delivering care in a virtual/telehealth environment will be a distinct advantage.
The Head to Health NSW consumer service operates shifts between the hours of 08:30AM - 6:00PM (AEST) Monday to Friday.
These opportunities will be offered as 2-year fixed term employment agreement.
