The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Researcher (Mental Health - Innovation Evaluation and Research) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Utilise high level knowledge of research data management, collection, collation and analysis techniques to effectively manage large volumes of evidence
* Formally evaluate research findings, outcomes and implement these findings into new or advanced models of care
* Provide specialist advice, consultancy, education and support within the MHSS to facilitate engagement in clinical research/evidence-based practice activities
* Supervise Doctor of Medicine students, higher degree research students, and non-clinical interns on various research projects
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathologist or Social Work
* AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
* Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
* A postgraduate research qualification with research experience approximately equivalent to a research masters degree or higher is a requirement for this role
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Permanent part time (22.8 hrs p.f)
* Base salary ranging from $70.99 - $74.07 per hour
About Us
The Innovation, Evaluation and Research (IER) Unit at Gold Coast Mental Health and Specialist Services has been funded to bring high level Evaluation and Research expertise (design, implementation, Evaluation and dissemination) to innovation projects, service Evaluation and Research activities. The IER Unit collaborates closely works with service directors, clinicians, and academic partners to support research and evaluation initiatives. The Mental Health - Researcher position will support relevant research and evaluation projects within the Mental Health and Specialist Services, and work closely to support the Heads of Research (Adult and Youth) and the IER Coordinator
