We are seeking a strong team to support an 18 year old client residing on the Sunshine Coast. They will require a resilient and skilled team to assist them in their daily activities. Our focus is on empowering our clients to live fulfilling lives while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Inline with this participant, we have multiple other SILS on the Sunshine Coast who require a strong team. Ideally a successful candidate will be able to work across more than one team.
Job Description ⭐️
We are seeking experienced and resilient individuals to join our team as Complex Support Workers. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of working with individuals with diverse needs, including ADHD, ASD, Intellectual Disability, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and high behaviours of verbal and physical aggression, as well as sexualised behaviours.
Key Responsibilities ⭐️
- Provide 2:1 support to our client, both male and female support workers required.
- Implement personalised care plans and positive behaviour support plans tailored to the individual needs of the client.
- Utilise clear communication and documentation methods to track progress and incidents.
- Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and adherence to restrictive practices guidelines.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for our client to thrive.
Requirements ⭐️
- Previous experience working with individuals with complex needs, preferably in a similar setting, including youth and child safety.
- Strong understanding of restrictive practices and willingness to adhere to guidelines.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Full availability to accommodate the client's needs.
- A valid Driver’s Licence (P2 or above) and access to a reliable vehicle
- NDIS Module – ‘Quality, Safety & You’
- NDIS Worker Check
- HLTAID003 (or equivalent) First Aid Certificate & CPR
- Blue Card
