We provide programs relating to ageing and disability, health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and support and more.About the role:Anglicare Tasmania’s Curraghmore NDIS Residential and Recovery Support Service provides residential support in a community setting.You will be responsible for offering recovery-focused support to participants, supporting them in independent living. This includes assistance with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication routines, room support, and community engagement.To be successful in the role, you’ll have:
- Experience and understanding of the principles of recovery oriented service delivery;
- Empathy and understanding for participants as they address issues relating to their Mental Health recovery;
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, cross-sectoral, team-based approach to service delivery with people with diagnosed Mental Health conditions;
- The ability to be able to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of training and other programs for participants;
- Have resilience, effective conflict resolution and stress management skills by working effectively in tense, uncertainty and sometimes urgent and difficult situations;
- Engagement as required in quality assurance and continuous improvement processes;
- Have the necessary computer skills, in particular the ability to operate word processing, email and data base management software packages, particularly, with support initially, the participant record and note system Casey.
- Minimum qualification of Certificate IV Non-clinical Mental Health, Certificate IV in Disability or Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant qualification and experience) Accredited Medication Endorsement (training can be provided);
- The availability to work all roster shift types including an awake overnight shift.

- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021;
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- undertake a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
