Merchandise Assistant
As we plan towards 2024, our Global Merchandising team at Michael Hill is looking for an eager, proactive and detail orientated professional looking to cement a career in buying. This is a great first step for a bright people person, potentially with a background in retail, administration or fashion.
You will effectively manage the administration, data and system requirements for the department, whilst working closely and learning from our junior and senior leaders.

More about the role:
- Assist the global Buying team in all areas of administration
- Daily communication with our retail stores, distribution centre and other internal stakeholders
- Confirmation of purchase orders
- Advise Senior Buyer of any issues with suppliers
- Communicate information effectively to multiple areas of the business
- Product administration – creating skus, raising sample po’s, ensuring product data is correct
More about you:
- Enthusiastic about retail and strong administration experience
- Confidence will all Microsoft apps
- Excellent attention to detail and desire to follow through with processes
- Possess strong communication skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work proactively in a team environment with a flexible, can do attitude
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and problem solve
- Passion for a career in retail buying
