About the Role
The successful applicant will provide compassionate person-centred care to clients that are referred within the MERIT program, which includes counselling and case management. You will be required to attend court weekly for referrals, to deliver any necessary reports, and also to offer support to your present caseload clients.
In collaboration with members of your multidisciplinary team, you will ensure that safe care is delivered to clients/families/carers in order to achieve identified goals and outcomes that have been developed through completion of assessments.
You will be supported in this role by your Direct Line Manager, Clinical Supervisor, Allied Health Lead, Senior Nurse Manager and fellow MERIT/DACS colleagues. You will have the opportunity to attend team meetings and clinical reviews weekly, as well as monthly supervision discussions with a clinical supervisor. You will have the opportunity to participate in monthly education sessions and have access to an eLearning portal to build on your current knowledge and experience.
Where you'll be working
The successful candidate will work full time and have the option to be located in either Taree or Forster. You will be a member of the MERIT Program that sits under Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services (DACS) and work within the Court Diversion area out of the Taree and Forster Local Courts, as part of our DACS multi-disciplinary team. The MERIT team is very supportive and welcoming, and are happy to offer their expertise and support to each other to assist in daily tasks
Rural Health Incentives
This vacancy is eligible for an Attraction and Relocation package that includes the following*:
- Attraction incentive paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance of up to $10,000 for the first 12-months
- Retention incentive of up to $5,000 thereafter annually
- PLUS 3 months accommodation assistance (e.g. reimbursement of rent payments or payments for commercial accommodation)
*All payments and reimbursements made to part time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.
Attraction incentives will be paid as a Rural and Regional fortnightly allowance on top of your base salary + 11% superannuation.
Other forms of payment/package options (where you are eligible) need to be negotiated with the Convenor and may include**:
- Additional annual professional development days (up to 5 more per year)
- Additional personal leave (up to 5 more per year)
- Computer/internet reimbursement (e.g. laptop, wi-fi costs)
- Return airfare to and from your work base (or equivalent motor vehicle allowance) so you can still visit family and friends
**The total value of your incentive package would remain the same. Employees are responsible for seeking independent financial advice before accepting an Attraction and Retention Incentive package as part of their offer.
