FCF Fabrication PTY LTD, a trusted name in Australia for metal and stainless-steel fabrication, specialize in custom-fabricated mild sheet metal and stainless-steel products for industrial, commercial, and government sectors in NSW and Sydney, is seeking full-time skilled metal fabricators to join her team.
As a Metal Fabricator at FCF Fabrication, you will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Reviewing blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
2. Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stock for fabrication.
3. Cutting, shaping, and bending metal sections and pipes as per markings using hand tools, flame-cutting torches, and metal-cutting machines, along with heating and hammering techniques.
4. Aligning and assembling components by welding, bolting, and riveting using hand tools and precise measuring instruments.
5. Inspecting and smoothing welds for bead width, penetration, and accuracy through filing, chiselling, and grinding processes.
6. Work closely with team members, including project managers and installation teams, to ensure seamless coordination in the production process.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
8. Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
This combination maintains the clarity of each duty while streamlining the list.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- At least Certificate III including 3+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings.
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.
- Precision and attention to detail
- Available to work on-site or in the factory
This is a full-time position requiring you to work 38h per week Mon- Fri with possible overtime. Your annual salary will vary from $75000-$80000 depending on experience.
