The opportunity
We are currently on the lookout for passionate, enthusiastic welders who are looking to join a growing and dynamic business. In addition to offering long term secure work, we also offer ongoing training and career development to ensure your skills are always kept up to date.
This role will be strongly supported by the Manufacturing or Production Manager and will form part of a team that works closely together to ensure the best results.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment.
- Perform welding tasks using MIG welder.
- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition.
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures at all times.
- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements:
- Trade qualified or equivalent industry experience
- At least two years of welding experience (mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum)
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
