AddressMatthews Brothers Engineering Pty Ltd is an Australian owned and operated OEM specialising in the design and manufacture of a wide range of equipment used in road manufacturing. As a family-run business with three generations of industry experience, we celebrated our 100th year of innovation in 2021. Located in Altona North, Victoria, our state-of-the-art facility spans 3,500 m2 and is purpose-built to support our industry leadership and design innovation.
Due to an extremely healthy pipeline of work, we are currently seeking to grow our workforce across a variety of trades including boilermakers & welders, to keep up with this demand. Immediate work available in the Western suburbs.
Role Description
We are seeking a number of full-time, on-site, trade qualified, Metal Fabricator / Boilermakers with experience in producing welded components, tanks, equipment and framework.
You will work collaboratively with our in-house Design & Engineering Team and support our Service & Maintenance Team, contributing to our ongoing success in Australian design and manufacturing innovation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated individual who possesses the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Essential:
- Trade qualified Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker (Cert III or equivalent)
- Competent in all disciplines of welding with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand technical design drawings.
- Organisational skills to plan allocated tasks.
- Fabricate and install steel structures.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work without supervision
- High standards in relation to quality of work and safety
Well Regarded
- Experience with truck-mounted (Heavy Vehicle) equipment.
- Mechanically minded, a passion for machinery with an interest in learning new equipment.
- Confined Space certification
- MR/HR Truck License.
