Company Overview: Rimex Wheel Pty Ltd, the world's premier customer manufacturer of earthmover wheels and rims, is expanding its team at its various branches. With a global presence in major mining areas, we are seeking a skilled Metal Machinist for an immediate start.
Key Requirements: The successful applicant must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role. The person we are looking for must be a self-starter, have a high degree of attention to detail, takes pride in their work and is responsible, reliable and an organised fast learner who can work with limited supervision.
This is a full-time DAY SHIFT ONLY MONDAY TO FRIDAY position with some overtime available.
Duties:
- Operation of Vertical Borer
- Examine detailed and interpret drawing and specifications to find out job, material, and equipment requirements.
- MMA, MIG and Sub Arc Welding of cylindrical sections to RIMEX standards.
- Proficient at Oxy Acetylene Cutting and Gouging
- Set up and/or operate hand, machine tools and welding equipment.
- Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding.
- Manual Lifting
- Drilling - Tapping
- Competent in the use Overhead travelling cranes.
- Current Forklift Ticket
- Safety Focused
- Other Duties as requested
Desirable:
- Previous Submerged arc welding highly desirable
- Previously used a Vertical Borer (i.e. a Machinist)
- Current First Aid Certificate
The successful applicant will be offered $35 - $45 per hour.
