SalaryOur client is looking for safety focused and motivated Metal Machinists (First Class) to join their company in Burdekin, QLD on a Full Time basis. You will assist with day-to-day operations to ensure targets are met.

Trade Qualified with post-trade CNC Experience/qualifications.
Experience programming and running OKUMA CNC Machines
Ability to form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using CNC programming
Ability using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore, drill metal
Experience cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
Experience diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines
Experience overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
Conduct quality inspections of all components before and after processing
Perform duties required to program profile machines, laser machines and beam-line
Set up, operate and maintain precision equipment and computer manufacturing and production machines
Calculate and set controls regulating machining factors
Observe machine operations
Liaise with production team to effectively plan and run the CNC machines to meet the production objectives
Study blueprints, drawings, sketches, manuals and specifications
Set machine parameters
Set up torches, drill sand cutting tips
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure fully operational at all times
