About the role
The successful applicants will be responsible for Meter Reading and associated customer activities while being the face of the Water Corporation. If you enjoy working outdoors and can see yourself providing great customer service, we encourage you to apply.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be conducting meter readings, testing taps to identify issues and assisting with the maintenance of meters.
You will be working outdoors in all seasons.
You’ll be identifying water issues, reporting meter access issues and non-compliant water services and assisting with customer queries.
Your day will vary, from location of work assigned to occasionally including long drives. It will almost always include a lot of walking (sometimes walking over 15km per day) so you need to be physically fit, comfortable working alone and you will always put safety first.

You’ll have pro-rata access to long service leave after 3 years of continuous service and you’ll receive 17.5% extra pay when you take annual leave.
In addition to the base requirement, Water Corporation will make an additional 2% super contribution when you elect to salary sacrifice 2% of your salary to super.
Our paid parental leave for primary caregiver is 18 weeks, and non-primary 3 weeks. Employees will accrue long service leave while on paid parental leave.

Key Skills and experience
Ability to communicate effectively while working alone, possess a driving licence (WA Class C), physically fit, willing to put safety as your number one priority and are comfortable working alone. That’s it, your positive attitude will see you do well.
