You wake up in the morning and plan your day.
As a Meter Reader, you have the freedom of structuring your time around your family / personal commitments.
You’ll be outdoors (in all weather conditions - rain, wind, or sun) but that doesn’t faze you, after all, your keeping fit and healthy
What will you be doing?
You’ll be conducting meter readings, testing taps and assisting with the maintenance of meters.
You’ll be identifying water issues, reporting meter access issues and non-compliant water services, reviewing meter reports and assisting with customer queries.
Your day will include long regional drives through vast farmyards, unsealed roads and tracks. It will also include a lot of walking (walking over 15km per day) so you need to be physically fit, comfortable working alone and you need to always put safety first.

Key Skills and experience
If you have a driving licence (WA Class C), if you are physically fit and are comfortable working alone, try your hand (and feet) as a Meter Reader. That’s it, your positive attitude will see you do well.
