Hours: 0.8 FTE
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2025 (with possibility for extension)
Location: Based at Sonder Marion with expectations to regularly visit all Sonder Metro sites

About the Role:
The Indigenous Health Project Officer (IHPO) has skills and experience relevant to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people required for the performance of the role and its responsibilities.
The IHPO will ensure there is a focus on Aboriginal health and aim to improve the integration of care across metropolitan Adelaide region. The role supports mainstream practices and primary health providers to be more culturally safe and better engaging with Aboriginal people to access appropriate primary health care for all their health and wellbeing needs.
Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and consultative skills reflected in an ability to engage and collaborate with, a wide range of service providers and community members.
- Appropriate level or experience in primary health care delivery.
- Appropriate level of experience/knowledge in being able to respond and work in a culturally respectful and wholistic manner to support CTG ITC program initiatives and primary healthcare service delivery to achieve improved health & wellbeing outcomes for Community.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health such as Nursing, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Allied Health Practitioners, health promotion, Primary Health, community development, Aboriginal studies or combination of relevant training and experience deemed to be appropriate.
- Drivers Licence
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
