About the role:
As a Micro Space Planner, you will create and maintain data driven customer led planograms which are operationally efficient that maximise sales and profitability (GMROS).
Led by the Micro Space Planning Manager this role will develop strong working relationships and support the buying group and key business stakeholders.
This Micro Space Planner is a 12-month contract opportunity to support recent centralisation of Australia & New Zealand, located in the Bunnings Store Support Office, Burnley.
What's involved:
Maintain and update planograms based on basic business requirements, safety, naming conventions, fixture naming/updates (ensuring GMROS and GMROI are maximised by range and customer shopping experience is front of mind)
Develop Planograms to support buyer ranges and in store execution for all stores in the network along with the development of merchandise layouts for New Stores and Upgrades/Expansions: Store Projects, Merchandise Projects, Ad-hoc operational requests
Conduct a range of analysis on planogram performance based on category specific needs
Implement space planning principles, customer decision tree and updating these when required
Ensure the allocation of space at both department and range level is in line with store demographics, development of Planograms as a result of the space allocated by store, which visually represent the range as selected by the Merchandise team
Ensure ranging and grading principles are in line with business standards, driving sales and GMROS, with reporting available to load into the system
Produce all communication packages with regards to new and updated planograms, ready for execution in the network.
Communicate any secondary fixture requirements to key stakeholders
Review opportunities to improve current in bay standards with Merchandise and Design & Standards to ensure maximum return on space is achieved
Ensure grid plans are maintained and updated based on grading change requirements and communicated to key stakeholders.
Who we’re looking for:
You will bring exposure in a similar role with the knowledge to prepare and present all required analytics in relation to space planning in overviews, pre briefs and range reviews to stakeholders.
You will be results driven and hold a strong focus on delivering a positive customer experience along with have the knowledge to analyse data and provide sound observations whereby communicating with impact is key.
You’ll need:
Experience utilising software such as Blue Yonder, JDA or similar is desired
Tertiary qualified in business, commerce or related field advantageous
Previous experience in Micro Space planning desired
Prior experience in Visual Merchandising
Experience working with customer and market insights advantageous
Experience in using large datasets, with the ability to analyse and determine performance to drive business outcomes
Excellent planning and organisational abilities as well as strong people skills
Proficient Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills.
