Randstad Sourceright is proud to be partnering with and working alongside a leading FMCG company.They are seeking an experienced Microbiology Technician , the purpose of this role is to provide service and technical support to the Company activities in all areas of product and material analysis. Conduct analysis of finished products, semi-finished products, imported raw materials and others used in the company and equipment calibration. Application of scientific principles, written, and verbal communication skills will be required.

Job Type: Contract - 6 Months
This company has multiple manufacturing sites across Australia and has continued to grow and increase market share. Due to increased workload the team is looking to hire a Microbiology Technician.
Responsibilities:
- Performing general microbiological testing using techniques such as Petri-film, spread plate, pour plate, spore testing, MPNs, and membrane filtration
- Specialised microbiological tests as well as performing pathogen analysis
- Ensuring the timely online data entry for all sampling and testing results into LIMS
- Perform, report, and follow up on lab equipment calibration and maintenance
Experience:
- Experience working as a technician in a microbiology laboratory
- Strong attention to detail and great problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business
