Project descriptionWe are looking for
Microsoft SQL developers for a significantly large multi-million-dollar program for a Tier 1 banking client based in Australia. There are a number of projects as part of the build out of Treasury function which require highly experienced SQL developers with sound data analysis skills.
Responsibilities- The successful candidate will fulfil the following responsibilities -
- Participate in requirements analysis, familiarize with existing code base and understand current architecture to provide software solutions and/or fixing issues.
- Translate data requirements to technical solutions
- Write clean, scalable code/stored procedures in MS SQL.
- Test and deploy applications and systems
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code
- Improve existing software
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Respond to requests from business / stakeholders and record them in timely fashion using enterprise tools.
- Perform advance database queries using SQL
- Resolution of assigned task in a timely fashion and escalation where necessary.
- Maintain and follow appropriate standards.
SKILLSMust have- 2 to 5 years of experience as a SQL developer in Microsoft environment.
- Need a bright and eager to learn candidate for this role
- Some exposure/understanding of banking/capital market
- Balance sheet management exposure: great plus
- Technical knowledge of writing complex queries/stored procedures.
- Understanding of data architecture and advanced data analysis skills
- Good communication skills. Must be able to understand requirements and explain technical solutions to business stakeholders and the team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Able to investigate, analyse and troubleshoot tasks.
- Experience in query optimization.
- Familiarity with SSI packages for integration and execution of the stored procedure.
- Track record of data analysis and writing SQL queries/stored procedure in large-scale applications and transformations.
Nice to have- Basic knowledge of click view and control M is beneficial but not mandatory. • A track record working as a developer in the Financial Service Industry and/or Treasury function or exposure to loans, interest rates, balance sheet related applications/datasets is desirable but not mandatory.
