Gidget Foundation Australia (GFA) is the largest and only national provider of free specialist perinatal mental health psychological services to support the emotional wellbeing of expectant and new parents.
The opportunity
A unique opportunity exists for a Mid Weight Graphic Designer to join our fast-growing, collaborative team. The role is responsible for assisting in the execution of design projects in collaboration with the Senior Designer, Design Manager, and internal stakeholders. You will create and craft engaging visual solutions across print, digital, and social media channels. You will also provide high-quality design across multiple projects whilst working within GFA’s brand strategy and guidelines.
Some of the day to day
- Review design briefs in conjunction with the design team and determine requirements.
- Conceptualise from brief, prepare concepts, and provide visual graphic design solutions.
- Work within GFA’s brand guidelines and sure consistency in visual design approach.
- Work closely with GFA key internal and external stakeholders to develop and rollout design assets in a timely manner.
- Use multi-software applications, develop multi-software illustrations for multiplatform channels, including social media, print and digital.
- Prepare GFA’s eDMs and templates through Salesforce, Pardot and Mailchimp as required.
- Prepare digital assets (including animations) for social media campaigns and multi-platforms, including webpages and websites, as required.
Our ideal candidate
The team is looking for someone with solid integrated design experience who can work across multiple touchpoints and can produce high-quality, forward-thinking design from concept through production. You will have experience in print, screen and digital best practices and have a proficient level of skill in Adobe Creative Suite. A working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, PremierPro, and digital design applications would be preferred. You will have excellent communication and client liaison skills and will be able to evaluate stakeholders' needs through brief evaluation.
Essential Criteria
- Graphic Design Qualification Degree or Diploma.
- Minimum 3-5 years graphic design experience.
- Experience with brand design.
- Passion for innovative, best-practise design, with attention to detail.
- Proficient level graphic design skills using Adobe Suite, including Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat.
- Experience with Video editing software such as Adobe AfterEffect and PremierPro.
- Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Canva is an advantage.
- Experience in the NFP and fundraising sector is an advantage.
- Experience with HTML/CSS coding is an advantage.
- Knowledge of digital platforms: Salesforce, Pardot, Monday.com and Mailchimp.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task within a collaborative team.

Employment
This position will be part-time, 3 days per week, and located in North Sydney with hybrid work arrangements available.
Contract
This role will initially be contracted for a 2-year period, aligned to Grant Funding.
