One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage a Middleware Support Specialist. You will exercise a considerable degree of independence and undertake a technical leadership role, with performing your work in consultation with senior staff and in support of critical Departmental systems. The Successful Middleware Support Specialist will be offered an initial 12-month contract with a 2 years extension and receive a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful Middleware Support Specialist will be responsible for the below:
- Perform and manage code movement across the environments, production deployment
- Perform high-level analysis of relevant technical requirements to support project deliverable development and implementation phases
- Manage the release and ensure go-live production support and maintenance
- Maintain and support existing system/technology to support day-to-day operation
The successful Middleware Support Specialist will have experience in the following:
- Applications deployment and monitoring services
- Utilising IBM WebSphere, Jira and Linux
- Ensuring compliance with endorsed software development methodologies
- Leading the deployment and support tasks including overseeing work priorities and resource management.
