Princes Court has three business units, Princes Court Homes, a 100-bed facility in a residential setting, Princes Court Village, with 55 secure, independent retirement units, and Princes Court At Home, providing quality homecare services.

Your Next Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Princes Court Homes. Multiple opportunities available, full time, part time and casual. Part ttime requires a minimum 3 days per week availability. Shifts available mainly afternoon/evenings and mornings.
You will be part of a dynamic care team that is influencing change in quality of aged care, fostering a positive culture and team approach to service delivery and contribution to the well-being of all residents whilst ensuring that all residents experience the Princes Court resident-centred care approach that promotes living life to the end.
A Personal Care Assistant is responsible for the planning and implementation of the day-to-day care of residents, and to work in accordance with the Commonwealth’s Standards for Residential Aged Care Services, Commonwealth and State legislation and policies, philosophy and objectives of Princes Court Homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, toileting, grooming and mobility.
- Assist residents with communication and social support.
- Assist with meals as required including some preparation.
- Liaise with doctors and emergency services, where considered necessary.
- Assist with care tasks within individual scope of practice including but not limited to observation, medication administration and basic wound care needs.
- Provide dementia support where required, addressing unmet needs with consideration to individual behaviour support plans.
- Assist and supervise residents with professionally determined exercises and treatments.
- Maintain the facility in a clean and tidy manner.
- Provide care that is individual, respecting privacy, dignity and choice of the resident, whilst enhancing quality of life.
- Ensure Equipment, resources and the care environment are clean and well maintained.
- High level documentation with a focus on care provided to support funding requirements.
- Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Computer literacy desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of the Commonwealth’s Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and required documentation.
- Knowledge of the Serious Incident Response Scheme and its requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
