Northern Star Resources are looking for a Mine Services Technicianto join the team at Carosue Dam Operations. This is a site-based position working on 8/6 rotation FIFO ex Perth OR FIFO ex Busselton OR BIBO ex Kalgoorlie.
Reporting to the Projects Supervisor, the primary role is to provide hands on experience and knowledge to underground projects and infrastructure.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of primary and secondary pumping
- Assist in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of underground ventilation walls
- Assist in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of utilities infrastructure (air/water)
- Assisting contractors with ongoing paste works
- Assisting contractors with ongoing communication installations
- Assisting contractors with ladder way preparation, installation and maintenance
Required skills and experience:
- Experience in underground mining, preferably in mechanized hard rock operations
- Minimum a years experience in a similar position
- Working at Heights
- Exposure to underground services work (Desirable)
- Understanding and experience in the scoping and installation of infrastructure projects (Desirable)
- "C" Class Drivers licence is mandatory with a HR Driver's License desirable
