The responsibilities of the role will include:
· Assist a geological team with RC and diamond core drilling programs working with Field Geologists ensuring sampling quality is maintained;
· Ensure drilling data collection is completed to appropriate standards and is cost effective;
· Manage Core Farm facility to a high standard ensuring cutting and core presentation meets industry standards
· Collect Magsus and pXRF data and enter into spreadsheets.
· Photograph core and RC chips and store on BMGS cloud database
· Submit daily and weekly reports to meet the required quality, content and timing;
· Maintain regular communication and feedback with BMGS Geologists and their clients;
· Maintain BMGS field assets so they are program ready;
· Maintain programs to ensure that accurate records and information systems are established for critical geological and geophysical data;
· Attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
To be successful you will need:
· A minimum of 3 years of minerals industry experience;
· Demonstrate competency in managing remote drilling and soils programmes;
· Ability to drive heavy equipment including an IT, a Front End Loader, dozer and Grader.
· Experience in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia;
· The role requires the successful candidate to live in Kalgoorlie, WA;
· Be open to working stints away in the Eastern Goldfields and at BMGS’s overseas operations;
· Work at BMGS mine sites.
· Have a HR licence.
· Have strong mechanical expertise.
· Advanced IT ability including Microsoft Office, Acquire,
· Ability to speak French, Spanish and Portuguese (not essential);
· Do not apply if you cannot live in Kalgoorlie full time.
Salary: $100,000 to $110,000
