Austwide Legal is seeking a senior lawyer to join its growing team. We are a boutique law firm specialising in providing legal advice and representation to mining, energy and resource companies regarding land access, mining tenure, corporate governance, compliance, native title, and heritage related matters. We assist leading Mining and exploration companies as well as smaller companies and individuals.
THE ROLE
Candidates will hold a current Practising Certificate, have exposure to litigious matters preferably in the Warden’s Court and National Native Title Tribunal and experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements within the industry.
The successful candidate will assist the firm in providing advice and representation on these matters. The position offers a healthy work-life balance with partial work from home arrangements able to be considered for the right applicant.
ABOUT YOU
Applicants will have:
- Previous experience ideally in mining, energy and Resources, native title and heritage related areas.
- Knowledge of mining tenement acquisitions and management.
- Excellent drafting skills.
- An understanding of the Wardens Court and National Native Title Tribunal processes.
- High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work autonomously with limited supervision and an ability to multitask with sound time and management skills.
- Knowledge of Corporations Law would be advantageous.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
CONTRACT TYPE
Full time, commencing salary will be highly competitive for the right person (depending on experience).
