Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off
Reporting to: Superintendent - Mining Engineering
Position: Permanent

This role is responsible managing the execution of the short-term ventilation plan in line with medium/long-term strategy (by others), whilst also tending to the day-to-day priorities of the department.

Key deliverables of the role include primary ventilation surveys, emergency plans, monthly & weekly schedules, work instructions (plus design thereof), procurement of equipment, monitoring & compliance programs, and management of the site ventilation team.

This position is a leadership position with reporting underground ventilation technicians responsible for underground data collection, inspections & QA/QC. There is an expectation that technical training will be given to technicians where practicable. What we Value:

• Extensive experience in underground hard rock mining.
o Experience in ventilation highly regarded, esp. technical
o Scheduling & operational experience will be beneficial to role
• Tertiary qualification in Mining/Mechanical Engineering.
o Graduate diploma in mine ventilation or other vocational training desirable, however the position allows for professional development.
• Preferential software profiencies
o VentSim & VentLog, VUMA or VnetPC
o Draeger suite (GasVision, GDC, X-dock)
o Deswik.CAD & Deswik.Sched
o SAP procurement (Fiori)
o AutoCAD or similar 3D design packages
o MS Office, incl. Visio and Project
