This is achieved through Sunday Worship Services, Community Support and Emergency Relief. About the role We are seeking a values driven Ministry Assistant who will provide support to the Corps Officers in the development of ministries in Port Augusta and Whyalla, identifying and ensuring the needs of both Corps and local communities are met. In this role you will demonstrate discernment, good stewardship and seek the leading of the Holy Spirit as you work with Corps leaders to build and maintain sustainable faith pathways with a focus on, but not exclusively to, children and families. You will successfullyWork with the Corps Officers to establish, develop and coordinate Corps programs in Port Augusta and WhyallaWork collaboratively with local community groups, TSA mission expressions, site users and other relevant stakeholdersSupport the Corps Officers in preparation for Sunday worshipComplete administrative tasks as requested by Corps OfficersEngage in community activities and fundraising opportunities including, but not limited to, the Red Shield Appeal and Christmas events You will haveThe willingness to become an active member of The Salvation Army (if not already)The ability to abide by The Salvation Army policies and procedures and Code of ConductStrong communication and interpersonal skills This is a permanent full-time role based in Port Augusta and Whyalla, SA.
