We are recruiting a Minor Projects Supervisor for the Carmichael mine, which is a 10mtpa coal mine located north-west of Clermont in central Queensland. While Rockhampton and Townsville are our primary recruitment hubs we encourage and will consider applicants from all regional Queensland communities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a key member of our team, you'll coordinate the execution of operation contracts and the mobilisation of the contractors. Your responsibilities include managing day-to-day scoping performance, ensuring compliance of project-appointed contractors, and aligning activities with agreed scopes of work.
This position is based on site, working a 5/2 (Monday-Friday) roster.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Direct onsite supervision of Minor Projects supporting the operating mine.
- Application of knowledge, skills, tools, and other management techniques against project activities to meet the project requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring all works are constructed to contract documents and within the allocated program timeframe safely and correctly.
- Comply with all company safety, environmental and quality systems, policies, and procedures.
- Manage and prioritise list of Minor Projects to support the production operations.
- Be responsible for Minor Projects from scoping through to design, and installation in accordance with the Site Safety and Health Management System.
- Regularly report on work progress, including at minimum weekly updates on projects.

Other qualifications and attributes required include:
- Project Management qualification and/or Trade qualification,
- Knowledge of Queensland coal mining processes, means and methods
- Experience working on Minor Projects over $2 million
- Competent application of computer software MS Office, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
- Valid and current driver license
- Desired: 5 year’s experience in a similar position within the mining/construction industry
