Your new role 

We are seeking an experienced Minor Works Manager to work in the HVAC industry in Perth, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Service/ Account manager in running minor work projects, quoting, and managing tasks related to HVAC systems, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Tender/ negotiate Minor Works upgrades to new and existing clients.
  • Project Management of these projects including procurement, resource management, delivery of the works in line with client expectations and cost management control.
  • This role will be required to support and deliver the Monthly and Annual budgets along with P&L support.
  • Undertake monthly, Cost to Completes on all Projects no later than the 3rd week of each month in line with BU Budget and KPIs.
  • Quote new service contract opportunities along with repairs, breakdowns and Minor Works as required. The key objective is book, bill and grow the Minor Works and Service base.
  • Manage the administration support to the business as required eg. Costs and revenue processes.
  • Daily use and management of our companies ERP system which is both Uptick and Pronto for all job set up, costings, time sheets, billings, purchase orders etc.
  • Review and familiarize yourself with the annual budget in conjunction with Branch Manager.
  • Support the Branch Manager on Initiatives and Strategy along with operational delivery of the WA HVAC business.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Always maintain a high level of customer service.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the HVAC industry, with a focus on minor work projects.
  • Proven experience in quoting and managing minor work projects in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian standards and regulations related to HVAC systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as HVAC or project management 
  • Relevant licenses
