A Catholic not-for-profit ministry of Mercy Partners, Mater is guided by the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy who first established Mater in 1906 when they built the first Mater Private Hospital. This was the start of a tradition of care and compassion for the sick and needy that continues to inspire us today.
Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg has provided excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Bundaberg and its surrounds since 1946.
Located within the medical precinct on Bourbong Street, our hospital is a 59-bed facility featuring four operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
About the role
This is a permanent, part-time position working 18 hours per week, reporting directly into the Director of Mission Leadership. The Mission Integration Manager provides vision and strong inclusive leadership that seeks to strengthen and grow the mission of Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg as a ministry of the Catholic Church and maintains the integrity of the Catholic identity of the hospital.

- Demonstrated history or personal spiritual development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to challenge with respect.
- Demonstrated ability to be enable and challenge members of a leadership team to align their decisions with the mission and values of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with local community and Church stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Qualifications in Theology, Scripture, Ethics, Ministry or related studies, or the willingness to undertake further studies.
- A demonstrated understanding of the Catholic Faith, ethos of Catholic healthcare and it's mission.
- A demonstrated understanding of the Catholic Church's teachings.
- A capacity to integrate the Church's teachings into mission and healthcare.
