Our client is a family-owned and operated farming enterprise, managing 30,000 acres of farming land with an 800-breeder herd of Angus and a 1,000-head feedlot. Their diverse farming practices include both dryland and pivot irrigation cropping, cultivating crops such as wheat, barley, cotton, sorghum, and chickpeas. They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Mixed Farm Hand to join their passionate team. You will operate state-of-the-art John Deere machinery equipped with GPS and a variety of tow-behind implements, playing a pivotal role in all aspects of crop production from land preparation to harvesting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation of John Deere Machinery including 18m boss planters & 12m summer crop planters
• Land preparation & crop harvesting of dryland wheat, sorghum, chickpea, canola & irrigated cotton
• Fencing bother repairs and new installations
• Work collaboratively in a team & independently when required
• Capable of transitioning from farming operations to assisting in cattle yards for processing tasks.

Requirements:

• Prior farming experience with dryland & irrigation crops
• Proficient in cattle operations, from managing breeder herds to overseeing feedlot operations.
• A valid truck license is preferred
• Chemcert certification or willing to obtain
• Mechanical & welding abilities are advantageous
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude & good values are essential
• Trustworthy & able to work independently or as a part of a team
• Experience in operating earth-moving machinery
• Trade qualification is highly regarded but not required
