Our clients are a family-owned and operated mixed farming business that covers 5,700 hectares over two productive properties located near Black Springs. The main property is 35 kilometres from Oberon in New South Wales and lies 25 minutes from the second property.
Currently, they are running 2,500 breeding cows and trading up to 1000 steers annually, with plans on expanding to 3500-4000 head. They also grow fodder crops and are continually improving pastures.
We are looking for an energetic individual who is passionate about working in a team and interested in a commercial cattle enterprise. Experience is necessary, but there is also an opportunity for the right candidate to develop and learn from a highly supportive team. The role will include work in all aspects of cattle husbandry and property development, giving you a broad range of practical farming skills that will help you flourish. You will also have the opportunity to be exposed to sheep enterprise.

The Ideal Candidate:
The following skills will be required:
- Experience with livestock and the ability to learn how to manage in a low-stress manner.
- Experience operating All-Terrain Vehicles (quads).
- Fencing and welding skills are ideal.
- A current driver's license.
- Have your own working dogs or be willing to obtain them.
