The Project
UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes:
· 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden
· 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry
· 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa, up to six new substation sites.
This exciting project will commence construction in 2024 and we are currently looking for a mobilisation Coordinator to join the team based in Brisbane.
What will a day in this role look like:
· Coordinating mobilisation for new and existing employees and contractors across multiple sites and projects.
· Coordinate all aspects of worker travel including booking flights, accommodation, and ground transportation.
· Serve as the main point of contact for workers regarding travel arrangements providing guidance and assistance as needed.
· Manage relationships with site administrators, camp coordinators, travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and other service providers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure quality of service.
· Monitor travel expenses and travel budget identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
· Maintain accurate records of travel arrangements and expenses ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders including P&C, finance, construction, safety etc., to gather a forecast for travel requirements and ensure compliance with company policies.

What are we looking for you to bring to the team:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Mobilisation/Travel Coordinator role or similar, ideally within the mining or resources sector.
· Proven experience in a fast-paced travel administration or mobilisation role.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
· Experienced using HR/Recruitment/Mobilisation systems.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and high volume of mobilisations.
· Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels across the Project.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands
· Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
· Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint.
