Our Darley Stallion roster for 2022 consisted of 18 G1-winning stallions, standing at our Kelvinside property in New South Wales and Northwood Park in Victoria.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Monitoring Centre Officer to be based at our Kelvinside operation located in Aberdeen, NSW. The position is casual with the primary responsibilities including closely monitoring and observing the thoroughbred horses on all Godolphin properties to oversee their safety and welfare after hours, the security of company properties and employees.
The successful candidate will have a high degree of attention to detail and sound analytical and decision-making skills. You must have a positive attitude, good work ethic and be willing to go above and beyond in your role.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitor CCTV and other security systems ensuring the safety, welfare and security of Godolphin’s people, bloodstock and assets afterhours.
- Effective monitoring activities that include early intervention or prevention of any adverse issues relating to thoroughbreds, animals, property or people on Darley/Godolphin sites.
- Effective and swift decision making that addresses any concern or abnormal activity.
- Accurate reporting that assists management to establish any trends or other issues that require additional action.
- Assist with routine stud and stable duties after hours, including feeding, ensuring access to clean water and checking stock.
Criteria:
- Sound analytical and decision-making skills.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
- Practical horse skills and related theoretical knowledge.
- Knowledge of the thoroughbred breeding and racing industry.
