Mortgage Processor

About the Role
As a Mortgage Processor, you will assist in calculating borrowing capacities, as well as processing and managing mortgage applications for our clients who are trying to secure new homes and investment properties across Australia.
Using your knowledge of the mortgage industry, you will liaise with 3rd parties, assess applications, and monitor the progress of every client going through the finance process.
You will also need to review information and documents sent to you from clients and interested parties, to ensure they encompass everything required for the finance process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing mortgages for clients across Australia
- Managing and monitoring each application as it progresses
- Liaise, with clients, brokers, lenders, and other 3rd parties to ensure applications proceed smoothly
- Assist in calculating and assessing applicant borrowing capacities to see if they are eligible
- Maintain regular contact with clients throughout the finance process
- Collaborate with other internal departments to ensure the best outcome for every client
Your top skills:
- Previous experience in finance/mortgage processing
- In-depth understanding of finance and mortgages
- Confidence and articulation on the phone
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A focus on delivering outcomes for clients
- A desire to deliver and achieve KPIs
- A genuine passion to help clients secure finance for their new home or investment property
Bonus points for:
- Previous experience in finance/mortgages for SMSF and investment properties
- Previous experience in finance outside of property/real estate
- Experience using CRM software
- Knowledge of real estate/property market
