Motel Maintenance Worker

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced MAINTENANCE WORKER/handyman to work with us at:

The Berry View Motel.

A few positions are available, starting either now, or commencing over the coming few months.

IF YOU LIVE LOCALLY, AND WANT A FEW HOURS WORK A WEEK, THIS COULD BE THE JOB FOR YOU.

We require staff 7 days a week for a minimum of 2 hours per day, all year round, as we are currently expanding our team to facilitate growth.

Full training is available, but it is preferred that you have general maintenance experience. The roles available, require the individuals to be hardworking, motivated, enthusiastic, and have the ability to work alone, and/or as part of our team. 

All staff are required to have reliable transport to and from work, to ensure that your rostered shifts will be reliably covered. 

Rosters will endeavour to provide sufficient work for each of our team members, as well as providing extra work opportunities to cover staff leave and shortfalls. 

Usually, you will know your shifts in advance, but at times you may be asked to cover extra shifts, with minimal notice. We will offer you as much work as possible, and always try to work around your other commitments. 

The employment will generally be between 9.30AM and 3.00PM, including some weekend shifts. 

The successful candidate for this casual role will:

• Have experience in a similar role or the willingness to learn,
• Have excellent attention to detail,
• Be consistent in following our operating systems, 
• Ensure our high standards of site operations are maintained,
• Be able to undertake a variety of tasks in the maintenance department,
• Need to demonstrate you can understand and follow directions,
• Have a pro-active approach to WHS requirements.
• Be able to work a flexible roster including varying shifts,
• Have excellent communication and listening skills,
• Be highly motivated and possess a positive attitude.

We pay above award wages, including all the usual award conditions including weekend and holiday rates and superannuation. 

We initially offer casual employment, but there is opportunity of advancement to a part-time position, for the right person. We are happy to meet with you to discuss the role.
