Mr. Mechanical Auto Service Centre are seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join their team in Southport, Gold Coast.
The successful applicant must be a fully qualified Motor Mechanic with 2 years' full time work experience required. You will also hold a full driver's licence and have a proven background in servicing, maintenance repairs, diagnostics, fault finding and repairing as well as general vehicle reconditioning.
You will be working with hoists, tyre machines, compressors, presses, and alignment machines.
Duties will also include:
- Inspecting vehicles for roadworthy certificate
- Reassembling motor engines and parts
- Replacing parts and mechanical components
- Perform service & repairs as per repair order in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and directions. Obtain direction from Workshop Controller or Technical I/Manager whenever there is doubt regarding repairs.
- Test and check all repairs using the assistance computer systems prior to test drive
- Ensure all displaced parts are clean, tagged and placed in the correct storage point.
- Ensure repair orders are completed in a legible and neat manner as per dealership and warranty requirements.
- Clock on and off all completed repairs. Record condition, cause and correction against all jobs.
- Adhere to dealership procedures when obtaining parts.
- Recommend additional repairs and service where appropriate to Workshop Controller or service advisor.
- Familiarise yourself with all relevant technical bulletins and suggest training needs to management.
- Participate in all in-house training and factory training when offered. Attend all service meetings.
- Keep work area clean, tidy and free of clutter. Remove any spills immediately to prevent accidents or environmental concerns
- Follow company guidelines, and maintain personal appearance and a complete toolkit.
