Territory rent-a-car Pty Ltd is one of the largest franchisees of Thrifty Car Rental Australia and has been in business for over 30 years. It operates at major airports, metropolitan and regional locations in the Northern Territory
Due to expansion Territory rent-a-car is currently looking for hardworking and dedicated Motor Mechanic/Automotive Technician to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Undertake scheduled/routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, in accordance with company standards
- Diagnose and repair general mechanical/ electronic faults of vehicle systems and components
- Quality control and PDI of vehicles
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly and report any damage, dents or mechanic repairs required to the duty manager
- Note any car problems encountered by customers and follow up with appropriate action
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and company risk assessments/work instructions.
- Ensure all vehicles meet the quality repair standards
Access and record spare parts - Keep work areas clean and tidy
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, operating instructions, reports, etc.
- A keen eye for details
- Good communication skills
- Work Health Safety (WHS) knowledge
- Adhere to all company policies, and proactively contribute in maintaining a safe and clean work environment
