Position Criteria:

The company is looking for skilled and experienced Motor Mechanics with a minimum of three years post-trade experience. As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. If you are passionate about automotive engineering and possess a strong technical aptitude, we encourage you to apply.

·      Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles to identify and assess mechanical issues.

·      Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine overhauls, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and electrical system troubleshooting.

·      Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose complex automotive problems and recommend appropriate solutions.

·      Follow manufacturer's specifications and industry standards to ensure high-quality repairs and service delivery.

·      Maintain detailed and accurate records of all service and repair activities.

·      Stay informed about the latest advancements in automotive technology and industry trends to enhance your skills and knowledge.

·      Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients to explain repair procedures and recommendations.

·      Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.

·      Collaborate with other team members, including service advisors and technicians, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

·      Participate in training programs and workshops to further develop your technical expertise and stay updated with industry best practices.

·      Helping the other mechanics and tech's day-to-day duties.

·      Assisting manufacturers in diagnosing vehicles as required.

·      Liaise with service advisors, parts department.

·      Help training technicians (incl. apprentices)

To be successful within these roles you will possess the following skills and attributes:

·      Relevant Trade qualifications; Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Equivalent

·      Experience in one of the brands is desirable however, not essential

·      Excellent time management/organisational skills and attention to detail

·      A willingness to learn and an appetite for challenge

·      Demonstrated workshop experience in detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and electrics (preferred, but not essential)
