About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Motorcycle Instructor to join our Honda Australia Rider Training (HART) team. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure safe and efficient delivery of any course or activity run by HART in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures, whilst working towards satisfying the performance criteria of the required Competency Standards as directed by the HART Manager.
This is a Permanent Full-Time Opportunity!
How you’ll make an impact
- Instruct students in all aspects of motorcycle riding as per guidelines set out in the Quality Assurance procedures and curriculums.
- Ensure and maintain the safety of all persons present at HART training courses and activities.
- Ensure that potentially dangerous activities, events or equipment are immediately brought to the attention of HART Manager, Operations Coordinator and/or Senior Riding Instructor
- Perform day to day maintenance tasks including inspections, fueling, and cleaning as required on HART motorcycles, equipment, and premises.
- Comply with all aspects of the Quality System in relation to services HART centre provides in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Ensure all capital assets are maintained in pristine condition.
- Project an image of professionalism and commitment at all times.
- Satisfy performance criteria of required Competency Units/Accredited Course as directed by the HART Manager.
What you’ll bring to Honda
- Background in teaching is desirable.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE 40116 (or equivalent) is desirable, or all of the following; TAEASS412 – Assess Competence,TAEDEL311 – Provide work skill instruction & TAEDEL411 – Facilitate vocational training.
- Hold current state licences, vehicle, and motorcycle, with a history of no continual traffic infringements.
- Current first aid certificate.
- Successful completion of a training period in the HART organisation.
- Must be a skilful communicator.
- Competent analytical skills and verbal/written English.
- Professional presentation.
- Computer literate and competent with email and the Microsoft Office suite, and able to write and send reports electronically.
- Working with Children Check (WWC) is required.
