Quatro Design is a leading manufacturer and supplier to the landscape industry. Synonymous with quality and durability, we produce Australian made GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete) bowls, pots, planter boxes and street furniture that stand at the intersection of landscape and architecture. Our products are manufactured using modern and specialised GRC manufacturing processes. 

Job Brief:

As Mould Maker you will positively contribute to the success of Quatro Design through producing moulds to a consistently high standard as part of a team of skilled and motivated workers applying best practices in a clean and tidy work environment.

 The Role:

• Work as an effective member of the mould making team to ensure that productivity is optimized, moulds are produced to schedule, and that all moulds meet or exceed agreed quality standards.
• Support all staff in your team and contribute in a way that maximizes the team’s productivity, effectiveness, and role satisfaction.
• Monitor all aspects of the mould making process within your responsibility to ensure that best practice techniques are always adhered to.
• Carry out assigned tasks as allocated by the Mould Making Team Leader in a manner that optimizes productivity and meets mould production schedules.
• Maintain mould making equipment in a manner that ensures the longevity of these assets.
• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained and appropriate WH&S guidelines and requirements are adhered to.
• Liaise and communicate effectively with the Mould Making Team Leader and with fellow staff to ensure that workflow and quality are optimized.
• Contribute to identifying process improvement opportunities and liaise with the Mould Making Team Leader to implement as required.
• Liaise with staff from other work areas as required.

Standards:

• All mould making tasks are performed and completed to agreed standards.
• The entire mould making area including equipment and tools is left neat, orderly and clean on completion of manufacturing for the day.
• Acts with integrity, honesty and in a manner that that promotes the Vision, Purpose and Values of Quatro Design.
• All work will be performed according to company policies and standards.
• Works as an individual contributor in a collaborative team environment.
• Works in accordance with WH&S policies and requirements.
• Completes all tasks with utmost efficiency and continually seeks out more effective and productive ways to work, communicating suggestions to Team Leader.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Maintains strict confidentiality with respect to all company information.

Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:

Essential:

• Proficient carpentry skills and skilled in the use of a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment. Formal qualifications not essential. You may have completed part of your apprenticeship in carpentry or cabinet-making
• Able to effectively communicate with fellow workers and with management 
• Creative-thinking and problem-solving skills

Desired:

• Fibreglass making experience
• WH&S certification
• Forklift licence
