This position is for a radiographer to work across the BreastScreen SESI service including St George Hospital, Miranda and Engadine sites
What you'll be doing
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
The position is responsible for taking high quality mammograms at screening units and assessment centres within the South Eastern Sydney Local Health Network. This includes the management of screening services within the Funding and Performance Agreement Cancer Institute NSW, the policies and guidelines of the BreastScreen NSW program and NSW Health and the National Accreditation Standards.
To ensure compliance with the standards of BreastScreen Australia program as contained in the BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards (NAS).
Selection Criteria : * To be considered for the role, applicants must be female. An applicant's gender is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977

  • Must hold general registration with the MRPB/AHPRA
  • A licence to operate radiation apparatus by the NSW EPA
  • Experience in diagnostic and or screening mammography and PACS systems with knowledge of quality assurance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Be able to work as part of a Multidisciplinary team with advanced communication skills
  • Class C drivers licence with a willingness to travel to BreastScreen sites within the South Eastern Sydney and Illawarra Local Health Districts
