AddressProtech are currently recruiting for experienced Multi-skilled & Excavator Operators to join the team on-site at Sonoma Coal Mine.
Located in Queensland’s resource-rich Bowen Basin, the QCoal Northern Hub produces hard coking and thermal coal. Thiess has an extensive history of service at QCoal Northern Hub, having operated at the project since 2007!
THE ROLES:
We have multiple vacancies for the following skillsets:
- Experienced Multi-Skilled Operators
- Experienced Excavator Operators
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe operation of heavy mobile plant equipment at Sonoma Mine. Collaborating closely with your team and wider site, you will deliver to achieve safe, high-quality results. These roles are working on a rotating 7-day on, 7-day off roster, alternating between day and night shifts (12-hour shifts)
BENEFITS:
- Multi-Skilled rate: $66.24 p/h
- Excavator rate: $69.50 p/h
- Even time 7:7 roster (12-hour shifts)

To be eligible for these positions, you are required to have the following:
- A minimum of 18 months of experience in open-cut production mining operating relevant machinery
- Current Drivers Licence
- Training Transcript signed by SSE or evidence of proficiency in relevant machinery
- Standard 11 Certificate (willing to obtain)
- Coal Board Medical (willing to obtain)
- Proof of Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & undergo Drug and Alcohol testing prior to commencement
