Primary Objective of the position:
Plant Operators are required to clean, perform pre-start checks and operate plant equipment within the Councils fleet to assist with creating new infrastructure, maintaining current infrastructure and repairing old infrastructure.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Current HR (Heavy Rigid) class drivers licence.
- LE ticket or equivalent for an Excavator.
- Current General Construction Safety White Card
- Working in Proximity to Traffic – Awareness Part 1 & Part 2 (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain.
- Demonstrated significant ability to operate mini excavators in civil works construction and Maintenance activities.
- Demonstrated experience and high level of success in working as a team member as part of a construction/maintenance team using a mini excavator and undertaking manual labour tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in civil construction works, road and drainage construction.
