The opportunity:
Council is recruiting to fill Multi-Skilled Plant Operator & Labourer vacancies in our Towns & Surrounds and Roads Construction & Maintenance teams in the Bendemere (Yuleba Wallumbilla Jackson & Surrounds) operating area.

Key responsibilities
- Safelyoperate and maintain Council’s plant and equipment as per the OriginalEquipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and Council’s policies andprocedures.
- Undertakedaily servicing and maintenance for plant, equipment and machinery to ensureoptimal capacity and efficiency levels and to avoid unscheduled operationaldowntime.
- Abilityto perform manual handling and labouring duties for extended periods in directsunlight, working in difficult terrain, walking on uneven ground, prolongedsitting whilst operating plant / machinery hand and foot controls.
Ability to follow direction and complete tasks within allocated timeframes to requiredstandard.

- Full time, permanent position - 38 hours per week
- Fortnightly Rostered Days Off
- 5 weeks annual leave
- 15 days personal leave
About you:
To be successful you will need to demonstratethat you meet the below mandatory requirements for the role:
- CurrentC (Car) Class Driver Licence (mandatory)
- GeneralConstruction Induction (White) Card (mandatory)
- Current LR (Light Rigid) Class DriverLicence
- HR(Heavy Rigid) Class Driver Licence
- Experience operating: backhoe, slasher, mower, roller, loader, backhoe, excavator, and/orwater/tipper trucks
- RIIWHS302D– Implement Traffic Management Plan
- CertificateIII in Civil Construction – Road Construction and Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Chainsaw certificate of competency
- ACDC Chemical Accreditation (Certificateand Licence)
- Certificate II in Horticulture (orequivalent)
