- Salary: $84,522 to $94,003 (Pro-Rata) – ASO5 – Part Time 0.6 FTE / Ongoing appointment
Overview:
The Multicultural Health and Wellbeing Officer is responsible for contributing to the development, management, and delivery of a quality and culturally appropriate and effective Statewide Multicultural Screening and health promotion initiatives.
The incumbent will implement evidence-based approaches to facilitate improved health outcomes for multicultural communities. The incumbent will be required to work within the accepted cultural practices within multicultural communities.
The incumbent will also contribute to the development and implementation of strategies aimed at increasing the cancer screening participation rates of multicultural communities within the population target groups on a local/regional and Statewide basis.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving ‘Unsupervised Contact with Vulnerable Groups’ is required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
- A DHS ‘Working With Children Check’ (WWCC) is required for this position
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
