We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Multicultural Worker to join our Foster Care Team to provide culturally inclusive placements for children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
The role will be based in our Kent Town office and will report to the Operations Manager of Foster Care Services.
The duties of this role include:
- Develop, implement and promote strategies for a service model to provide culturally sensitive foster care placements for CALD children.
- Identify and plan initiatives for improving organisational service delivery practices for CALD placements.
- Develop and deliver training to staff and foster carers to enhance the provision of culturally responsive services
- Contribute to the development of a recruitment strategy to recruit and retain carers from CALD backgrounds.
- Develop training and professional development opportunities for Foster Care staff to increase their awareness of cross cultural issues and practice in relation to support and assessment of foster carers.
